and Conditions – Gardening Service

Rent-a-Mum will
perform the work specified by the Client in a professional manner. Rent-a-Mum
reserves the right to make changes to any part of these Terms and Conditions
without notice. By ordering Rent-a-Mums’ service via telephone, e-mail or fax,
the client is agreeing to be bound by Rent-a-Mums’ Terms and Conditions of
Service.

Gardening/Mowing

The client is recommended to check the quality of the gardening/mowing work
carried out immediately after completion of the work.

In the event that the client is not satisfied with the standard of work, he/she
should contact the company not more than 24 hours after the completion of the
service. Unless good reason is given for late notification of any complaint,
the company will not consider any complaints which are notified after such
period of 24 hours.


When booking a gardening service, the Client is obliged to provide details of name,
address, telephone, e-mail address and the payment details over the phone. As
soon as this information has been submitted the Client will be provided with a
confirmation of the gardening session in respect of the Company’s Terms and
Conditions. The Client accepts these Terms and Conditions unless she/he
contacts the Company before the gardening session has started.


In the event of complaint the client will allow the company to send a gardener/mowing
staff back to the client’s property to complete the work to the client’s
satisfaction and the company will not normally refund any payment if it is not
permitted to return to the client’s property to complete the job.

NOT HOME - Services charges call out fee $20-$65 depending on location.

Insurance

Rent-a-Mums’
service is insured by full public liability cover.  All gardening/mowing staff are police checked prior to deployment.

Claims

In case of a complaint, Rent-a-Mum requires to be notified within 24 hours after completion of the gardening work. No claims will be entertained after the above time limit.
If the Client is dissatisfied with the work, a gardener must be allowed to return and re-do the job at no extra charge.


Equipment

Rent-a-Mum
will provide all gardening and mowing tools and equipment.


End of Tenancy Gardening

The standard end of tenancy gardening service includes mowing and brush-cutting
of edges but does not include clearing away of rubbish and pruning of trees (unless
prior arrangements are in place). The property must be vacated.

Gardening Issues


CAPE WEED, ONION GRASS AND WET LAWN. (These weeds can be killed off in autumn, we can arrange for
this to be done)

Cape weed and marshmallow weed are extremely nasty weeds that grow in lawns - it will stand up 2 days after it has been mowed.  It is very hard to mow as it holds moisture in the leaf and then gets clogged up under the mowers. This can cause an untidy mow.

Onion weed is long and thin and is also very tough to cut unless we replace the blades after each mow, which is just not viable.

Wet and Damp days

As we have a long list of clients it is impossible to get everyone mowed in the afternoon. We try very hard to meet everyone’s expectations when mowing your lawn, but from time to time the weather conditions prevent perfection.

Some clients prefer a shorter or a longer lawn, please let the girls know if they are not mowing it to your desired level.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS CLEANING

Rent-A-Mum has now introduced RANDOM QUALITY CONTROL CHECK by our cleaning supervisor, as dedication to our continuous improvement methods. A check notice will be left once supervisor has been.

Cleaning

Spring cleaning, vacant house cleaning and window cleaning from $35 p/h per cleaner.

IN THE EVENT THE CLIENT IS NOT HOME OR PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS
FOR ENTRY THE PROPERTY HAVE NOT BEEN MADE, THE CLIENT WILL BE CHARGED A $20 +GST FEE TO COVER CLEANERS TRANSPORT COSTS.

Insurance

Equipment

Rent-a-Mum will provide all cleaning material and equipment. We need to take into account the risks associated with a member of our team using a piece of equipment that we do not know has not been maintained and serviced adequately and for this reason alone is why we must use our own equipment.  Please note that this may be
subject to a surcharge.  You must provide a MOP AND BUCKET one that is SUITABLE for your flooring. i.e.: wood floors requires a pad mop, for dry mopping.

End of Tenancy
Cleaning

ON ACCEPTANCE OF QUOTATION CLIENT MUST,

 

  1. Pay a 25% deposit (outside of one week before service date) of the total amount due, this guarantees a booking for a specific date, as agreed.
  2. Pay 50 % deposit if the job is booked within one week of commencement of works.
  3. Pay balance of monies either via direct debit the day before the service
  4. or via cash on arrival of Rent-A-Mum staff.
  5. PLEASE NOTE FULL PAYMENT MUST BE MADE PRIOIR TO COMMENCEMENT UNLESS OTHER ARRANGEMENTS WITH RENT-A-MUM OFFICE HAVE BEEN MADE
  6. Power and water must still be connected (Cleaning only)
  7. On arrival if there are extra rooms to be cleaned, that were not agreed to at time of quote the excess charges apply

$50 per extra room $80 per extra bathroom or kitchen

. Also note if the property is extremely dirty (above the standard) then additional charges may apply,  but will be advised prior to any work commencing.

10.  All windows need to be easily accessible.

11.  Prices are for single story homes only

12.  Special pricing for window cleaning only applies when accepting a full vacate clean.

13.  Windows cleaned inside and out including tracks (PLEASE MAKE SURE WINDOW TRACKS ARE NOT OVERLY DIRTY IE YOU HAVE NEVER CLEANED THEM)

14.  VACATE HOUSE CLEAN INCLUDES full clean of all rooms, bathrooms, toilets, kitchen, oven, and skirting boards.

15.  Vacate clean does not cover, cleaning walls cleaning ceilings, cleaning animal/human defication. Unless previous arrangements have been made through the office, and a special request is sort.

16.  You must provide a safe working environment for all Rent-A-Mum staff

17.   Rent-a-Mum reserves the right to withdraw the Services and/or to terminate, The Agreement at any time.

18. All cleaning and/or gardening personnel supplied to the Client are employees and/or contractors of Rent-a-Mum.

19.   Throughout the Agreement and for a period of three months following its termination for whatever reason, the Client agrees not to employ, contact or otherwise engage any of Rent-a-Mum personnel, either directly or indirectly or through any third party.

20.  In the event of a breach of clause 19 and in addition to any remedies available to Rent-a-Mum the Client shall pay to Rent-a-Mum a fee equivalent to a ful three-month charge for the Services

21.  Rent-a-Mum shall not be liable for any loss, damage, expenses, costs or liability arising either directly or indirectly from the provision of the Services.

22.   The Client shall be responsible for ensuring a safe environment in which Rent-a-Mum staff can perform the Services and shall be responsible for complying with all relevant Health and Safety legislation.
